The Pepsico group announced on Thursday recalling several batches of Ice Tea Peach drinks, packaged in 25 cl glass bottles, due to “the possible presence of broken glass”, in a press release. The recalled lots are intended for sale outside the home, and therefore intended for hotels, restaurants and bars.
“After having been informed of the possible presence of broken glass in several batches of glass bottles of the Lipton Ice Tea Peach brand, 25 cl format (lost glass), intended for sale outside the home, Pepsico France undertakes by measure of precaution a preventive recall ”of five lots (L0237 – L0238 – L0239 – L0240- L0241), with a date of minimum durability (DDM) of August 2021, it is indicated.
None of the brand’s other products is affected
Pepsico France would like to point out that “none of the other products of the Lipton Ice Tea brand – products sold in PET bottles and / or cans – is affected by this recall”.
The company asks professionals who have purchased these products to withdraw them from their sales channel. “They may be reimbursed at the point of sale,” it is specified.
“Consumers who have purchased, in a cafe, hotel or restaurant, products that present this manufacturing defect may be reimbursed to the establishment that sold them the product in question,” adds Pepsico. .
