“Erling was very pleased that he was in contention to win and that he was close to Messi and Mbappe, as well as other players. It was a good night for Manchester City. Huge respect for Leo Messi and Aitani Bonmati.
Haaland has his whole football career ahead of him, so he has to keep winning and say to himself, ‘Okay, maybe next season I can win.’ He probably has that goal, but he was very happy to attend the ceremony and looked very good when he returned to the club,” Guardiola was quoted as saying by Sky Sports.
