Culiacan, Sinaloa, February 16, The Rector of the Autonomous University of the West (UAdeO), Dr. Pedro Flores Leal, appointed the new Attorney General in charge of the Directorate of Legal Affairs, with MC Fortunato Hernández Hernández protesting in this position.
Dr. Pedro Flores Leal highlighted the vast experience of the new university official, who will be a valuable element in a context in which the University faces important challenges related to the legal framework of its Autonomy.
For his part, MC Hernández Hernández considered it an honor and a professional achievement to be appointed to this position, and committed to working as a team to strengthen university Autonomy.
MC Fortunato Hernández Hernández has a Law Degree from the Autonomous University of Sinaloa. He has a master’s degree in Criminal Policy and Public Security from the Northwest Institute of Criminology and Criminal Sciences, as well as a master’s degree in Criminal Procedural Law with a specialty in Oral Trials from the National Institute of Higher Studies in Criminal Law. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in Criminal Procedure Law.
He has worked as a trial lawyer with a specialty in the criminal area in relation to the implementation of the Accusatory Criminal System, as well as a legal consultant to various municipalities in the adaptation of the regulatory framework to the new National Model of Civic Justice and as a legal representative of various companies. in civil, commercial, labor and tax matters.
He has also been a teacher at the State Institute of Criminal Sciences and Public Security of Sinaloa; director of the Control, Command, Computing and Communications Center (C4) of the State Communications System Unit; and legal representative of the H. City Council of Culiacán.
