Kuijt takes back the entire loot with ADO Den Haag
The season started so hard ADO recorded a 1-2 win at NAC, which is having a tough season. Jort van der Sande gave the home team the lead after three minutes, but thanks to two heads from Thomas Verheydt, the team of coach Kuijt reversed the result.
NAC failed to focus, leading ADO to win twice in a row for the first time this season. Kuijt’s team have triumphed in three of their last four games.
Willem II has been performing erratically this season, but had an easy night on Friday. Kevin Hofland’s team easily faced Helmond Sport: 1-3. Halfway through the race, the “De Tricolores” were already leading 0-2 thanks to Jesse Bosch and Nick Doodeman. Shortly after the break, Michael de Leeuw scored 0-3, after which Martijn Kaars saved the honor on behalf of the home team.
At Telstar-Roda JC Kerkrade there was a lot to do for the penalty from which Glynor Plet scored 2-0. Referee Pol van Boekel pointed to the spot, even though it looked like Roda’s Lennerd Daneels had caught the ball in his face. Telstar eventually triumphed 2-1.
Young Ajax won 2-3 at Almere City FC, thanks in part to a goal from striker Lorenzo Lucca, FC Den Bosch won 3-0 at home to Jong AZ, VVV-Venlo was surprised by FC at home to Dordrecht 0-1 and in the lower regions, De Graafschap settled for Jong FC Utrecht: 2-0.
