The American band Pearl Jam has released a new album, the group reports on Monday website. The most recent album from the rock band was released seven years ago.
The new album will be called Gigaton and will be released on March 27. It is the eleventh album that the band releases.
“Creating this album took a long time,” says guitarist Mike McCready on the website. “It was sometimes dark and confusing emotionally, but it was also an exciting and experimental path to musical redemption.”
The first single from the new album, Dance of the Clairvoyants, is expected within a few weeks.
In addition to a new album, the band members also announced a new tour through North America.
Pearl Jam’s latest album, Lightning Bolt, dates from 2013. The group won a Grammy Award for this album.
