Frame PDIP who is also the chairman of the DPC for the National Secretariat of Ganjar Indonesia (SGI) Purworejo, Albertus Sumbogo, did not accept the statement from the chairman of the DPD PDIP Central Java (Central Java), Bambang Wuryanto alias Pacul, who criticized cadres’ declarations or support for Reward Pronowo as a presidential candidate in 2024 presidential election.
Pacul said PDIP cadres who declared a presidential candidate ahead of the direction of PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri had left the ranks and became wild boars.
Albertus counterattacked by stating that PDIP cadres in Central Java now have the mentality of messengers, ducks, and parrots under Pacul’s leadership.
“Under the pressure of his leadership [Pacul] cadres were born with the mentality of slaves, ducks and parrots, “Albertus told CNNIndonesia.com, Tuesday (12/10).
Albertus said that Pacul was actually not the first time he had issued a strong statement, and admitted that Pacul’s actions were aimed at strengthening the ranks.
However, the Deputy Chairperson of the Purworejo PDIP DPC assessed that Pacul’s actions could actually have an unhealthy impact on the mental health of cadres.
“Thus, party cadres must be commanded like marching. In some ways it is correct and successful, but in many ways Pak Bambang Pacul has changed the souls of the cadres to become like messengers, kon ngalor, ngalor, kon ngidul, ngidul,” he said.
Responding to Albertus, the Deputy Treasurer of the Central Java PDIP DPD, Dede Indra Permana Soediro, said that the Central Java PDIP DPD actually made many electoral achievements under Pacul’s leadership.
One of them, said Dede, was that the Central Java PDIP DPD managed to get 42 seats out of a total of 120 seats in the Central Java DPRD for the 2019-2024 period.
“In the 2019 legislative elections, PDIP initially only targeted 36 seats in the Central Java DPRD, but in the end it managed to win 42 seats. This result is impossible to achieve if the structure and machinery of the party’s winning are not solid,” he said in a statement received CNNIndonesia.com.
Dede explained that the seat acquisition also increased significantly compared to the 2014 election, where the Central Java PDIP DPD only obtained 27 of the total 100 seats in the Central Java DPRD at that time.
In fact, he continued, the Central Java PDIP PDIP also managed to donate 26 seats to the DPR RI in the 2019 Election.
“This number also exceeds the target because the original target was 23 seats. It turned out that the acquisition was 26 seats out of a total of 77 seats available in all constituencies of Central Java,” he said.
Dede continued, another thing that is no less important is that Ganjar Pranowo’s victories in the 2013 and 2018 Central Java elections were realized because the party ranks were solid and upright in carrying out Megawati’s recommendations.
Departing from that, Dede asked Albertus to look at the development of electoral achievements in Central Java from the increase in seats, both in the legislature and in the executive.
He also asked Albertus to be orderly in his organization because the only person who can determine which presidential candidate to carry in the 2024 presidential election is Megawati.
“After all, Mr. Albertus is bound in the management of the party. Steps, attitudes, and actions should be perpendicular to the structure above, so that they do not fall into someone’s personal ambition,” he said.
Pacul previously mentioned that the PDIP cadres who declared a presidential candidate ahead of Megawati’s direction had left the ranks.
“The adage in PDIP is that those who are outside the ranks are not bulls, they are called wild boars. So whatever the reasons are, those who are declared, if they are outside the ranks, they are wild boars,” he said in Sukoharjo, Saturday (9/10) as quoted detik.com.
Meanwhile, the central executive of PDIP, Andreas Hugo Pareira, responded casually to the emergence of various groups that declared support for a number of potential figures to become presidential candidates in the upcoming 2024 presidential election.
According to Andreas, it is everyone’s freedom to express their opinion.
“This is a democratic country. We respect the freedom of people to express their opinions as long as they do not conflict with the prevailing laws,” said Andreas when contacted, Tuesday (12/10).
A few days ago, a group appeared in the name of Gema Puan. They declared their support for the Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, to run as a presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election.
Even long before that, there was already a group on behalf of Teman Ganjar. They have declared support for Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo.
The two PDIP figures received the support of volunteers. According to Andreas, it is not a big problem and does not violate party rules.
“The name is also a volunteer. Discipline is regulated regarding party cadres,” he said.
