Paul de Leeuw responded on Instagram to the negative review that Angela de Jong wrote about his new program Hotel Hollandia. “Let something, like my hair, grow a little,” De Leeuw writes in his story.
De Jong, who writes a daily column about television for the AD, was not pleased with the new program. “If I were Paul de Leeuw, I would not dare to show myself outside for a while,” she wrote on Sunday morning. De Leeuw responded: “Dear Angela de Jong, if you were me, you wouldn’t dare to come outside. But I have to go out and play in the theater! Because there is more than television! Much more.”
De Leeuw’s new program started on NPO 1 on Saturday evening. Hotel Hollandia is a fictional hotel, in which the permanent staff members give a look behind the scenes of the hotel. Anniek Pheifer, Wimie Wilhelm, Samir Hassan and Thomas van Luyn play these staff members. Famous Dutch people pass by every week.
