This was announced by Prime Minister Eduard Heger, reports aktuality.sk.
According to Heger, other batteries of this system will be used to protect most of the territory of Slovakia – two German and one Dutch.
“In the near future, the defense of the eastern border will be strengthened with the help of other air defense systems of Slovakia and allies,” he said.
He thanked the allies for their almost immediate response to ensure the safety of Slovak citizens.
«The supply of equipment and personnel is clear evidence that Slovakia is a full member of a strong alliance that will protect it if necessary,” Heger emphasized.
According to the Ministry of Defense of the Slovak Republic, the Patriot system in the deployed PAC3 version is one of the most sophisticated air and missile defense systems.
