sport">At the Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Heerenveen, the 35-year-old skater from Jumbo Visma had to pass his teammate Patrick Roest and Jorrit Bergsma. Roest won the five kilometers in a great time of 6.08.64. Rust definitely has a place in Beijing. Bergsma drove 6.11.14 and is very likely also certain of a place at the Games.

sport">Kramer achieved a respectable time of 6.12.29 and finished third. “I just really gave everything,” Kramer said afterwards when he was recovering on the bench. Kramer is a three-time Olympic champion in the 5 kilometers. In 2010, 2014 and 2018 everyone had no chance against the Frisian. He was also there in 2006 during the Games.
