Patricia loves the moments she has with her mother even more after the pandemic. “She’s really tough and very helpful, although I can’t call her anymore because of her hearing.” The singer sometimes tries to talk to her mother about her father John, who died in 2019 at the age of 94. However, this turns out to be difficult. “She never talks about the loss of my father. Sometimes I remember with her that she traveled everywhere with my father (he toured all over the world with her John Paay Band-ed). But she doesn’t talk much about it.” Patricia’s husband Robbert Hinfelaar also likes to visit her mother-in-law. “I visit her every two weeks, she’s a lovely woman.”
