Dubai: The ICC’s 2023 Test squad has been selected. Aussie skipper Pat Cummins is the captain of the ICC Test Team of the Year. Only two Indian players were included in the team. Cummins was promoted to the captaincy due to the excellence of winning the World Test Championship title.
Meanwhile, Indian captain Rahit Sharma and star batsman Virat Kohli are not in the team. Ravindra Jadeja and R Ashwin are the two Indian players who have been included in the team.
Travid Headed, who scored a century against India in the Test final, Usman Khawaja, Mitchell Starc and Alex Carey are the Aussies who have been included in the team apart from Pat Cummins. Travis Head became the only player to feature in both the ICC’s Test and ODI squads.
