Vietnamese coach Park Hang Seo still protesting about eating boxed rice after the Golden Star Warriors have already qualified for the semifinals AFF Cup 2020 (AFF Cup 2021).

Vietnam is confirmed to have qualified for the 2020 AFF Cup semifinals after beating Cambodia in the last match of Group B, Sunday (19/12).

The victory made Vietnam qualify for the semifinals of the AFF Cup as runners up in Group B.

However, even though he has already qualified for the semifinals, Park Hang Seo still complains about eating boxed rice during the AFF Cup which is considered to be lacking in nutrition for players.

“After coming here, every game we have to try our best. However, the nutritional problem has not been completely resolved. Vietnamese players still eat with boxed rice. The Vietnam Football Federation has provided assistance, but it is not enough,” said Park Hang Seo, quoted from the statement. 24h.com.

Since the start of the 2020 AFF Cup, Vietnam has become the team that has complained the most about food.

In addition to complaining about the quality of food service at the AFF Cup, Vietnam also protested because they could not eat pork at the biennial event.

On the other hand, Park Hang Seo doesn’t mind that his team has less rest time than Thailand, which will be the opponent in the semifinals.

Vietnam last played in the AFF Cup 2020 against Cambodia, Sunday (19/12). Meanwhile, Thailand last played in the AFF Cup against Singapore, Saturday (18/12).

The semi-final first leg of the AFF Cup between Vietnam vs Thailand will be held at the National Stadium, Singapore, on Thursday (23/12).

“I think fitness is not a big problem even if the players only get a few days off,” said Park Hang Seo.
