Criticism of the Corona timetable for the Breisgau S-Bahn continues. On Father’s Day, it was said that it was impossible to keep clear on a train. The train apologizes and speaks of an individual case.
The BZ again received complaints about overcrowded trains of the Breisgau S-Bahn. Sebastian Hager describes how he wanted to go from Freiburg to Kirchzarten on Father’s Day. He criticizes that there is only one train per hour. This is the consequence of the corona timetable of the train. Since fewer people use local transport, the offer has been reduced. Time and again, however, people describe that the trains are very full.
Passengers are said to have been huddled together in the aisles on Father’s Day
“Numerous passengers stood incredulously on the platform and hesitated to get on the train,” he writes. All seats on the train were occupied and passengers were huddled in the aisles. “In the end, most of them got on; I broke off my trip. It was at 10:17 a.m. – I can hardly imagine what it would be like to drive out of town in the early afternoon and into the city in the evening,” said Hager. “How do you explain such conditions in the current Corona times, when every citizen is obliged and obliged to keep the intervals?” Says Hager – the question has to be asked later.
The railway apologize for the incident described. However, she says that the scene was “a top”. Otherwise there were no abnormalities on the Hllentalbahn that day. The train will deviate from the Corona timetable on June 14th. At the moment, fewer people were using the train than before the pandemic.
