The party apparatus of Harilaou Trikoupis is in full mobilization ahead of the European elections. In fact, based on a party circular sent by the secretary of PASOK Andreas Spyropoulos in the party organizations throughout Greece, local municipal committees of the electoral battle are formed at the prefecture level with the participation of party executives and friends. The leadership of Harilaou Trikoupis is heading to the Euro-election with the ambition of winning second place, presenting PASOK as the reliable programmatic opposition “to block the arrogance, indifference and opacity” of the ND government.

The president of PASOK Nikos Androulakis is trying in every way to convince the voters of the importance of PASOK emerging as a second party. On the one hand, Harilaou Trikoupi argues for the usefulness of PASOK. According to this point of view, in order to reverse the course of PASOK and make it dynamically upward, the coordination of the so-called progressive opposition must be put at the center of the central political scene in view of the European elections (and after the elections).
