“Participants of the Second Semi-Final of Eurovision 2023: Albania, Estonia, Belgium, and More”

The representatives of Albania, Cyprus, Estonia, Belgium, Austria, Lithuania, Poland, Australia, Armenia and Slovenia made it to the finals of the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest on May 11.

The theme of the second semi-final was “Music Unites Generations” and focused on different generations of Ukrainians and the music they love. Maria Yaremchuk (Maria Yaremchuk), who represented Ukraine in 2014, opened the second semi-final with a contemporary performance of Ukrainian music history.

On the evening of the contest final, May 13, at 9:10 p.m. on LTV1, REplay.lv and on the youth platform “16+” (YouTube), the program “Iešūpo Eurovision!” with Nancy Garkalni and Lauri Reinik will warm up the audience to watch the final of the Eurovision Song Contest live at 10:00 p.m.

The group “Sudden Lights” represented Latvia in the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Aijā” on the evening of May 9, but did not enter the final of the contest. From the first semi-final, Croatia, Moldova, Switzerland, Finland, Czech Republic, Israel, Portugal, Sweden, Serbia, Norway, as well as France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Ukraine and Great Britain, who were automatically nominated for the final, continue to fight for the victory in Eurovision.

In 2022, the Ukrainian representatives “Kalush Orchestra” won the competition with the song “Стефания”, however, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) decided to entrust the organization of the 2023 competition on behalf of Ukraine to Great Britain.
