Parrots vulgarly cursed the visitors of the zoo, they had to hide them

The five parrots were acquired by Lincolnshire Wildlife Park, located about 160 kilometers north of London, in August this year. She first quarantined them and recently exhibited them for visitors. In outdoor aviaries, however, African plumage did not last long.

The pupils cursed rudely at the people who came to see the birds. The zoo administration thus decided to temporarily hide the parrots in the background inaccessible to the public.

Jess Newton, who cares for parrots at an English zoo, initially found their peppery words amusing, according to the BBC. She hoped to stop cursing after moving to the aviary, but she recalculated.

“Parrots swear to provoke reactions or answers,” explained zoo director Steve Nichols. If people start looking at them in astonishment or even start laughing, it will encourage the birds to curse further, according to him. “Some visitors found it funny, but children come to us over the weekend, so we decided to move them instead,” said Nichols.

At the same time, the director of the zoo expressed the hope that the parrots would learn other words in the new group where they will now live. “But if the others learn swearing and I end up with 250 vulgar birds, I don’t know what we’re going to do,” Nichols added.
