Park Min Young prohibited from leaving South Korea. The actress had to undergo an investigation because she was suspected of being involved in a case of embezzlement. The decision was issued by the prosecutor following Park Min Young’s investigation on Monday (13/2/2023).
The Korean drama star Love In Contract previously dated a controversial crypto boss. Even though it was reported that they had broken up, Park Min Young was still being investigated by prosecutors because she was suspected of being involved.
Park Min Young’s ex-boyfriend, Kang Jong Hyun arrested along with a number of Bithumb stock company officials were arrested on Thursday (2/2/2023). He was charged with fraud, embezzlement and stock market manipulation.
During the investigation, Park Min Young denied her involvement in the Kang Jong Hyun case. However, the prosecutors found evidence that Kang Jong Hyun used Park Min Young’s name in a number of his financial transactions.
As reported by TenAsia on Tuesday (14/2/2023), Park Min Young is now prohibited from leaving South Korea because he will undergo a further investigation process.
Park Min Young Reaps Criticism from Korean Netizens
Connection Park Min Young and Kang Jong Hyun were revealed to the public on Wednesday (28/9/2022). Dispatch released photos of the actress with Kang Jong Hyun which were considered suspicious. The reason is that this rich man was involved in a money fraud case and was jailed for three years in 2016.
Park Min Young suddenly drew criticism from Korean netizens for dating a problematic man to the point of being accused of money-making. Moreover, he reportedly received a luxury gift in the form of a Lamborghini sports car.
Following these accusations, Park Min Young’s agency reported that his artist had broken up with Kang Jong Hyun. Hook Entertainment also emphasized that Park Min Young would be more careful in choosing the man she dated.
“The actress will be more careful with whom she makes friends in the future and be more responsible as a public figure. Please understand and allow Park Min Young to focus on shooting her drama,” said Hook Entertainment’s statement when Park Min Young starred in the Korean drama Love In Contract.
Until finally on Wednesday (12/10/22), Kang Jong Hyun clarified Dispatch. He admits he decided Park Min Young because they don’t want to ruin their reputation and career. He hoped Park Min Young would no longer be involved in the news.
