An interministerial committee dedicated to the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games will be held on Monday in Seine-Saint-Denis, chaired by Prime Minister Jean Castex, to take stock of the stage within three years of the Olympics, announced Friday Matignon.

Jean Castex, former interministerial delegate to the Olympic Games before being appointed to Matignon, will then go to Saint-Denis on the site of the future athletes’ village and will finally lay the foundation stone of the Olympic Aquatic Center (CAO), Olympic complex which will host water polo, synchronized swimming and diving events.

A year ago, for reasons of economy, the idea of ​​adding a provisional pool to this CAD for swimming events was abandoned. The swimming events will finally take place at the Arena de Nanterre.
