An interministerial committee dedicated to the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games will be held on Monday in Seine-Saint-Denis, chaired by Prime Minister Jean Castex, to take stock of the stage within three years of the Olympics, announced Friday Matignon.

More than ten ministers will participate in this committee which will take place in the city of Le Bourget. This commune of Seine-Saint-Denis will notably receive the climbing and shooting test, and is currently seeing the start of construction of the media village.

Laying of the first stone of the aquatic center in the wake
The idea, two years after a first interministerial committee, is to take stock of “The delivery of infrastructure in accordance with the schedule and budget initially set”, “Securing the organization of the Games and the quality of the post-Olympic legacy for the State”, Matignon said in a press release.

Jean Castex, former interministerial delegate to the Olympic Games before being appointed to Matignon, will then go to Saint-Denis on the site of the future athletes’ village and will finally lay the foundation stone of the Olympic Aquatic Center (CAO), Olympic complex which will host water polo, synchronized swimming and diving events.

A year ago, for reasons of economy, the idea of adding a provisional pool to this CAD for swimming events was abandoned. The swimming events will finally take place at the Arena de Nanterre.
