Parents of deceased children receive emails about spiritual rituals in cemetery | Inland

To find out the name of the group, the Drost-Laabidi couple filed summary proceedings against the municipality of Amersfoort, which served on Tuesday. The director of the cemetery – which falls under the municipality – had authorized the group to hold a meeting in the closed cemetery on September 11 in the children’s area to “examine the spiritual energies of the deceased.”

The municipality must therefore have the name of that group or at least be able to request it very easily from the director of Rusthof, said the couple’s lawyer during summary proceedings before the court in Utrecht. However, the municipality stated that it concerned six individuals who are not part of any group or organization. In addition, the National Ombudsman will publish an investigative report on the events of that evening on 17 December.

However, the couple states that the psychological distress of mother Radia Laabidi is so high that clarity is needed more quickly about what happened that evening. The municipality then decided on Wednesday to make individual e-mails available to the couple under strict secrecy, which later probably also form part of the ombudsman’s report. The names are painted black. The couple hopes to gain more clarity about the events on that evening and the lawyer subsequently withdrew the demand for summary judgment on Wednesday morning.
