Parents who have to accompany their minor children to the vaccination center are entitled to minor leave. The Council of Ministers approved a draft law on this on Friday evening. The bill came from Minister of Work Pierre-Yves Dermagne.

The preliminary draft extends the existing right to minor delays for vaccination to situations in which an employee accompanies a minor child living with him or her to a vaccination site with the intention of having this child vaccinated against the coronavirus.
The employee has this right for the time necessary to have the minor child vaccinated. This includes the time of the actual vaccination as well as the time it takes for the employee to travel to and from the location where the vaccination will take place.
The preliminary draft is submitted to the Council of State for advice.
