Giuseppe Romele wins the Paralympic Nordic Skiing World Cup for the sitting category. The Canadian trip began on Thursday 14th with the 5 km individual start, a race in which the athlete from Brescia came close to reaching the third step of the podium by just one hundredth, placing himself behind the Brazilian Cristian Westemaier Ribera.
It was the sprint race on Saturday, the most difficult test of the competition, but Beppe defended himself and managed to gain a new fourth place, a result above expectations, also thanks to an excellent job with the technician Paolo Marchetti and the skiman Daniele Serra .
However, all the attention of the athlete and the team went to Sunday’s race, the 20 km mass start, Giuseppe’s specialty in which he is the reigning World Champion: expectations were not disappointed and a splendid gold arrived to crown the our champion, together with the crystal globe of the overall World Cup to close the excellent season.
