The celebrations begin for Paolo, honored by his roommates as if he were a Roman emperor
Raise your cups of wine and put on your crowns: Paolo is about to have his birthday! The tenants sit around the table to toast and revel like true Romans from times gone by. Rosy prepared a carbonara, an essential dish for such a themed party.
Sitting at the head of the table, Paolo enjoys the festive atmosphere and lets himself be cheered by the cheerful music. The ditties ring out and the Tenants join together to sing the most famous refrains.
He who lives well lives twice!
But what would a party be without a handkerchief?
Bloody red, the handkerchiefs spin in the air while the most beautiful Roman songs enliven the spirits.
Paolo carves out a romantic moment with his Cleopatra, or Letizia, and dances a shy slow dance with her.
But immediately afterwards the dancing begins and all the Romans, real or imagined, take to the dance floor and let loose as if they were at a bacchanal.
How often does Paul think about the Roman Empire? Impossible to know, but perhaps from now on he will think about it a few more times.
