Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces, General Andika Perkasa stated that his institution would be responsible according to the provisions related to conflicts that had involved officers’ relatives, Anggiat Pasaribu, with Member of Commission III DPR RI Dahlan’s arteries and his mother.
Even so, continued Andika, his party will see to what extent TNI members are involved in the incident
“So, we are responsible for having authority over members of the TNI. Coincidentally, from our field investigations the parties involved are not members of the TNI. So we are waiting, but we are quite proactive in waiting,” Andika told reporters at the Terminal. I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali, Friday (26/11).
“Wait, who knows there are reports about the involvement of TNI members. But because until now the process that was brought to the realm of the law in this case the general court, we don’t know until now, maybe it’s not final yet,” added the former Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces. land (KSAD).
Andika emphasized that in the future the institution will not close itself to complaints or reports related to members of the TNI. But, he stressed, the TNI still needs something to be reported.
“Therefore, the point is to show that we are really ready if there are complaints or reports about the involvement of members of the TNI. But, coincidentally, we are still waiting. Because nothing has been reported,” he said.
However, if later found there is involvement of members of the TNI it will certainly give strict sanctions and even to the legal process.
“Definitely (sanctioned), because we have to. We have to obey the law. So, for example, there are excessive or unlawful actions from members of the TNI, we must take firm action, even the legal process,” said Andika.
As is known, previously a member of Commission III of the DPR, Arteria Dahlan, and his mother were involved in an argument with a woman. The woman claimed to be a relative of the three-star general. The woman was seen cursing Arteria’s mother. No less surprising, the woman came home to be picked up by a car with an Army license plate.
Both Arteria and his mother, as well as Anggiat, later forgave each other when they were met in the PDIP Faction Room at the DPR RI, Central Jakarta.
