The health crisis by the coronavirus has made doctors and nurses in heroes without a cape of this fight and who apparently has inspired younger to live to serve, and it is that in Guanajuato the number of applicants for careers in Health sciences, especially Medicine increased 15% compared to the previous year, as reported by the director of the Division of Health Sciences University of Guanajuato Campus León, Tonatiuh Garcia.
“We have just had admission processes a short time ago and we can even see that according to our expectations we have an increase in applicants to enter this degree,” he commented.
Medicine has always been a valued profession and respected in society and at least in UG the demand to enter the Faculty of Medicine takes half of the applicants who wish to enter the division and that this year presented more than 2 thousand 603 requests, almost 400 more than in the previous cycle.
“For the medical career we had 2,603 applicants and one hundred were accepted”.
To fulfill his dream of becoming a medical student, a young dI must displace another 25 applicants and it is very common that they do not manage to be at the first opportunity.
The main challenge is to show that they have the skills and knowledge necessary to enter the career, they must be in the first places and higher scores to secure post so the competition is very strong.
Although the test of knowledge of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Anatomy and more, is what has the most value, having answered a question wrong, academic history or the number of extraordinary in high school can be the difference between being in the ccareer of your dreams or not.
The discipline, demand and social commitment it is rigorous, and it even leads young people already accepted as students to realize that this is not their path and to choose another profession.
Currently the University of Guanajuato is located andn the 5th national place for medical residency exams, reflecting an optimal preparation that allows students to quickly excel and position themselves in the workplace.
