PAMI made a donation of wheelchairs to the Municipal and Maternal and Child Hospital

“This is one of those occasions where it is clear that being able, sometimes, is wanting, having the will.” In this way Nelson Sombra, Executive Director of the UGL XXX of PAMI, characterized the decision of that organism to donate wheelchairs to the Municipal and Maternal and Child hospitals.

On Friday afternoon, Sombra and Laura Aloisi, PAMI’s Accounting Administrative Coordinator, donated almost twenty of these items to our health centers. It is about 17 wheelchairs that were found -at the beginning of the current management- in a situation of abandonment in one of the upper floors of the building located in San Martín and De Paula.

Thanks to the joint that PAMI proposed to Unit 7 of Azul – a joint that will continue to bear fruit in the same direction – the chairs were able to be conditioned for proper use according to medical requirements. A great job by the interns that allows us to recover the functionality of these very necessary elements.

Sombra and Aloisi received, at the entrance hall to Unit 7, the total number of chairs from the prefect Marcelo Guevara, deputy director of Assistance and Treatment; Prefect Sergio Dietrich, Head of Assistance and Treatment; Javier Navas, Coordinator of Mayor Alcaide Education; Virginia Maciel, coordinator of Technical Training and Op. Occupation at PS Social Alcaide (EP); and Sergeant Analía Cornec.

The first part of the donation was finalized in the courtyard of the Argentina Diego hospital. Seven wheelchairs (one of them pediatric) were delivered to Néstor Cousté, director of the Maternal, and Silvina Gucella, Associate director. The authorities thanked the donation, highlighting that the seven chairs come to alleviate the daily work.

Finally, a dozen wheelchairs were donated to the Ángel Pintos hospital. There, Sombra and Aloisi were received in the area outside the main entrance, by Daniela Bianchi Pintos, a doctor on duty that day.

From PAMI they highlighted the kindness of the health personnel who collaborated in the entrance, from the sidewalk, of the 10 chairs. They welcomed the donation, highlighting its importance.
