Øyunn Krogh (28) stepped into the limelight when she won “Sommerhytta” in 2020. Since then, Krogh has occasionally appeared in the Norwegian media.
Just before Christmas, she launched the podcast “Kaffeskål” together with her best friend Frida Hollund, where they share both ups and downs. The two friends have shared “everything” with listeners for over half a year.

On Thursday, however, they took a step out of their comfort zone when they had their first live show.
– You become much more aware of things, but we know that the public only wants us well.

Taboo topics
In the past, the friends have openly talked about everything from infidelity to poor self-image.
They tell Dagbladet that it feels natural to talk about such topics, and that they feel safe with their listeners.

– How was it to share about things that are taboo?
– I think this is difficult. I am a person who has not been here for many years, but then I know that when I talk about things, it sometimes makes headlines, says Korgh and adds:
– It is insanely difficult to move in that landscape, but the podcast is a platform where we share everything. When we sit and talk about, for example, infidelity, it feels natural to talk about our experiences around this.

– No power
Through several episodes, Krogh and Hollund have shared openly and honestly about various experiences.
– I think it’s nice to be able to take the listeners on the journey so much. After all, they hear the episode before they read the articles, so when they see the headlines, they are just as disappointed and frustrated as I am. They understand that I get scared. In that sense, it’s nice to invite them into my life so much and feel like they really have my back.

Nevertheless, she has learned that she should not seek feedback or reactions to what she says.
– I have no power. The power is completely out of my hands. People are going to react and say something anyway.
She adds:
– I sometimes find that people think I’m trying to feed them with clickbait. But all I do is live, and I’m honest about that too.
