There are already 2,071 Covid patients in Belgian hospitals, 418 of whom are in intensive care. This is apparent from the provisional corona figures on the dashboard of Sciensano on Tuesday.

The number of hospital admissions continues to rise sharply. In the period from 2 to 8 November, an average of 183.3 people were admitted to hospitals every day (+21 percent).
Between October 30 and November 5, an average of 7,867 new infections were registered in our country every day, an increase of 4 percent compared to a week earlier. There were also 7 percent fewer tests. The positivity ratio has therefore increased to 11.2 percent (+1.6 percent): more than one in nine corona tests yields a positive result.
The reproduction number drops to 1.13. With a value above 1, it still means that the epidemic is increasing in strength.
In the week from October 30 to November 5, an average of 20 people died from Covid-19 every day, a decrease of 8 percent. 26,200 people have already died from the consequences of a corona infection.
