From the progress map of the national freezing line released by China Weather Network, it can be seen that in the next five days, as the cold wave continues to advance southward, the freezing line will push southward to the southernmost point of this winter – southern Hunan and southern Guizhou. In particular, on the morning of November 28, the front end of the 0°C low temperature line will reach central northern China and northern Sichuan, and the low temperature in most of the northeast and northwest will drop to freezing point or below. Among the provincial capitals, the minimum temperature in Urumqi will drop to -19°C, and Xining and Yinchuan will drop to -8°C and -7°C, both of which could hit new lows in the second half of this year.
As the cold snap continued to move east and south on the morning of November 29, the freezing line continued to move south as far north as Huanghuai and northwestern Yunnan, and temperatures in most northern areas continued to to record lows.
