The Ministry of Health reports that, as of today’s cut-off date, Tuesday, March 21, according to data from the Department of Health Information Statistics (DEIS), 2,351,757 doses of the COVID-19 Bivalent Vaccine have been administered, corresponding to 28 .25% coverage of the target population estimated at 8,325,856 people.

Of the total doses administered, 206,962 correspond to health personnel under 50 years of age (54.33% coverage); 177,748 to people with chronic diseases under 50 years of age (16.81% coverage); 431,026 to people between 50 and 59 years of age (18.73% coverage); 644,230 people between 60 and 69 years old (37.19% coverage); 524,402 people from 70 to 79 years old (53.13%); 274,076 people aged 80 and over (54.86% coverage); and 93,313 people from other prioritized groups under 50 years of age (6.82% coverage).

Regarding the primary vaccination schedules against SARS-CoV-2, which considers a target population of 15,200,840 people aged 18 and over, 94.3% (14,334,733) have completed their vaccination schedule.

During today’s session, Tuesday, March 21, from the target group of 18 years and over, 207 people were immunized. Meanwhile, in the target group between 3 and 17 years old, 500 people were immunized.

Regarding the reinforcement doses applied in the population over 3 years of age in the country, a total of 27,519,488 is reached. On the last day, 558 doses were administered, of which 168 correspond to people aged 18 and over, and 390 between 3 and 17 years.

In relation to the vaccination of children and adolescents between 3 and 17 years of age, which includes a total of 3,771,960 people, 89.36% (3,370,604) coverage is achieved with a complete scheme. In the group between 12 and 17 years old, 98.6% (1,474,158) of coverage with a complete scheme is registered, while the group between 6 and 11 years old reaches 90.79% (1,407,012), and in the group between 3 and 5 years 67.31% (489,434).
