PlayStation drives demand for a shooter available from day one on Xbox Game Pass.
We already have the data of physical sale of games in United Kingdom during the past week, a period where Outriders was released for PC and consoles, but without the necessary momentum to surpass FIFA 21, again in first position after seeing its demand in stores grow by 81% these days of Easter, or other launches such as Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Super Mario 3D World.
Focusing on Outriders, the role-playing, action and shooting video game to enjoy with friends, it remained in sixth place, finding its main users in the PlayStation audience. In this sense, the shooter’s sales are divided between copies for PS5 (52%), PS4 (31%) and Xbox (17%). The little market share in this premiere for the Microsoft console has an explanation Very simply, Outriders arrived at the launch of Xbox Game Pass, thus reducing its market of potential buyers.
At the moment no official details have been shared of how this new Outriders is performing in activity figures, although we do know that the video game has signed the best launch in the history of Square Enix on Steam, according to data provided by industry analyst Benji-Sales on his Twitter account.

Beyond the novelty of Outriders and the triumph of FIFA 21, the best sellers in the United Kingdom continue to be dominated by Nintendo Switch almost entirely, with Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury, Monster Hunter Rise and Mario Kart 8: Deluxe among the five most successful video games. In ninth position, on the other hand, we find Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Here is the list of the 10 best-selling video games in the week from March 29 to April 3.
