Old letter from Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden went viral on TikTok and cyberspace during the attack Israel in the Gaza Strip, Palestinestill hot.
The letter, entitled “Letter to America”, was written 21 years ago, exactly one year after the 9/11 incident which killed nearly 3 thousand people as a result of the plane attack that hit the World Trade Center (WTC) building in the United States.
The virtual world was enlivened by the reappearance of a letter written by bin Laden, especially on TikTok social media, in the midst of the war between Israel and the Hamas militia group.
What is the reason why the “Letter to America” written by Osama bin Laden went viral on cyberspace?
“Letter to America” went viral on TikTok after a number of users discovered a transcript of the letter published in the British media The Guardian.
A number of users then created video content containing reactions after reading the letter written by the Al Qaeda leader. After it went viral, The Guardian deleted the link to the original document of the letter last Wednesday (15/11).
The news link was later replaced with a statement that the document had gone viral online “without complete context”.
Bin Laden’s letter contains a defense of the attack he masterminded in New York. He said US citizens had become “servants” of Jews who he said controlled the country’s economy and media.
Bin Laden also said that the formation of Israel was one of the greatest crimes and the formation of Israel was an evil that must be abolished.
“The idea that the Jewish people have a historical right to Palestine as promised in the Torah is one of the most erroneous fabrications,” said one quote in Bin Laden’s letter, quoted by the Times of Israel.
He also said that Muslims replaced Jews as inheritors of the Torah, and therefore the land belonged to them.
