The Metropolitan Library and Ms. Justine Toms, founder of the Az-deteto.bg site, are organizing a “National Roundtable on Children’s Reading”.
The event is under the patronage of the capital’s mayor Yordanka Fandakova. The initiative is part of the national campaign “Fun reading on Az-deteto.bg”, which started on June 1 and ends on September 17. The conference will be attended by representatives of the Ministry of Education, libraries from all over the country, schools, experts, young authors, parents, NGOs and many others.
Topics and problems related to children’s reading will be discussed, such as the relevance of mandatory summer reading lists, the attitude of teachers and the approaches of the educational system to the topic, etc. The data from a study of the attitudes and attitudes towards reading of both children and and the teachers.
