Orchestral Tools releases Alexander Hacke’s Drones Soundtrack Hum Library

Sample library developer Orchestral Tools has announced the release of their latest sample collection, Alexander Hacke’s Drones Soundtrack Drone Library. Created in collaboration with renowned experimental musicians (Einstürzende Neubauten, hackedepicciotto, Crime and the City Solution), and designed by Sascha Knorr and Timo Loosli, Drones features a range of instruments specially chosen for their atmospheric and intriguing sound, sound design, Avant- garde compositions, film and game soundtracks provide the ideal backdrop.

Recorded at Berlin’s Teldex Scoring Stage as well as Silent Green, a former mausoleum chosen for its dark and mysterious 6-string acoustic guitar and bass, cello and bass, trombone, backing vocal recordings, tempura, harpsichord, didgeridoo and synthesizers. All sounds capture multiple colors for maximum realism, with cluster and chord effect stacking capabilities, and the original component tones can also be used to create custom buzzes to suit the user’s imagination.

In addition to delivering some of the longest notes in the sample library, typically a minute or more in length, buzzes are recorded in multiple dynamic layers, the intensity of which is fully controllable via the mod wheel (or dynamics), you can achieve a greater playability.

Orchestral Tools’ drones are available for their in-house SINE sample player at a promotional price of 129 euros, regular price 189 euros.
