This morning, in front of the San Luigi and the Anemos Hospice, the doctors, former students of the university hospital, now Cornio and his band, together with Generoso Chiocchi, a virtuoso sax nurse. A double concert for all the health personnel who work in the hospital but also for the patients of the facility. A live concert to also remember the people who passed away due to the Coronavirus. Cornio is a doctor who works in the ward and has personally experienced the Covid-19 experience. With his last piece, “Paranormale”, he recounts a difficult period for the author: while serving as a volunteer at the Chivasso Hospital, he contracted the virus and found himself living in quarantine. “This concert – explained Professor Pier Maria Furlan, former dean of the Faculty of Medicine and now president of the San Luigi Gonzaga onlus association – was a way to show our closeness and our contribution to all the people who in these long months have gravitated around the pandemic. It is an important initiative that aims to send a message of solidarity and closeness to the whole territory. In addition to medical care, we also want to focus on psychological and emotional support: both for patients and for our health professionals ».
