Orange-Tinted Toulouse Reaches Coupe de France Final, Defeating FC Annecy 2-1

An orange-tinted Toulouse reached the final of the Coupe de France on Thursday. The southern French club won 1-2 against FC Annecy, which plays on the second level.

The Dutchmen Thijs Dallinga, Stijn Spierings and Branco van den Boomen had a basic place at Toulouse. The latter gave the assist for the 0-1, which was made by Moroccan Zakaria Aboukhlal, born in Gorinchem.

Alexy Bosetti scored the equalizer on behalf of FC Annecy just before half time. Toulouse’s winning goal fell in the final phase and was scored by Farès Chaïbi. The Bosnian Saïd Hamulic, born in Leiderdorp, had just entered the lines with the visitors.

Dallinga, Spierings and Van den Boomen are a fixed value this season at Toulouse, which is in the middle of Ligue 1. Spits Dallinga is also fourteenth on the top scorers list with eleven goals. Van den Boomen has scored five times.

Toulouse will face Nantes in the final of the Coupe de France on April 29. That won 1-0 against Olympique Lyonnais in the other semi-final on Wednesday.
