After first anonymous actions had about last Sunday, according to observers 40 people gathered at the Fangschleuse train station opposite the Tesla site and then walked together through the forest, partly wearing safety vests. Individual participants announced legal steps against the Tesla project. It was also announced that another such demonstration will take place on Saturday.
This weekend, however, the opponents of the Gigafactory will no longer be the only ones demonstrating in terms of Tesla: A Facebook group called Grünheide for Future also invites you to a demonstration on Saturday. “A large part of the citizens are happy about the momentum Tesla will bring to the region. (…) Let us see Tesla as an opportunity, ”says the invitation, which was also published on Facebook in English.
Previously, Tesla supporters had discussed on Twitter whether it makes sense to counter the announced demonstration of the opponents. At first, this was viewed rather skeptically because of the potential for conflict, but obviously the supporters of the Gigafactory construction have decided to do so. However, the groups should not get in each other’s way because there is some distance between the Tesla site and the center of Grünheide.
