Oppo Reno7 series fully revealed before launch

Oppo is preparing the Reno7 series and contrary to popular belief there won’t be a Reno7 Pro+ version, so we’ll be looking at the low-end Reno7 SE. This leaves the Reno7 Pro at the top of the series.

Either way, the report shows that the standard Reno7 and Reno7 Pro share most of the hardware. They’ll be built around a 6.5-inch OLED panel, but Vanilla will settle for a 90Hz refresh rate while the Pro features 120Hz. The same 4,500mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging will power both handsets.

The camera section separates the two main Sony IMX766 50MP sensors linked by a 16MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP unit for depth detection. While the Pro will use Samsung’s GN5 50MP sensor, OmnVision’s 64MP OV64B camera for ultra-wide images and a 13MP telephoto lens.

The chipset will be borrowed from its predecessor – Vanilla will run on the Dimensity 1200 SoC while the Pro will get Snapdragon 888. 8GB and 12GB RAM options will be available, plus up to 256GB of internal storage.

Lastly, the Reno7 SE is expected to carry a smaller 6.43-inch display at 90Hz, a Dimensity 920 chip, and up to 12GB/256GB memory configurations. Just like the other two, the front will house a 32MP selfie camera, while on the back, the SE gets a modest 64MP OmniVision OV64B main camera as well as an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultra-wide camera and a 2MP depth sensor for portraits. The smaller 4,300mAh battery should stay on but with the same 65W fast charging.

As of now, we don’t have any official release date information yet, but the report suggests that the series will look bright in November. The information above appears to be largely consistent with the previous leak in mid-October.
