Oppo Find X2: an Oled panel and 5G to compete with Xiaomi on the mid-range

In addition to a classic version called Pro, Oppo has a Lite version in its luggage. Announced only in Portugal for the moment, the Oppo Find X2 Lite is a light version of its big brother, but not at a discount.

Oppo has unveiled on its Portuguese site a light version of its flagship, the Oppo Find X2. Logically called Oppo Find X2 Lite, the smartphone wants to offer an Oled panel as well as 5G at a reasonable price.

5G on the mid-range

The Oppo Find X2 Lite therefore has a Snapdragon 765G, a processor with the particularity of directly integrating a 5G modem and being optimized for mobile gaming sessions. It is coupled with 8 GB of RAM as well as 128 GB of internal storage. It has a 4,025 mAh battery compatible with the Super VOOC charge at 30 W. Oppo specifies that it is possible to obtain 50% battery in the space of 20 minutes.

The model may be lite, but with regard to the screen, it is not outdone. Smaller than on the Oppo Find X2 Pro (6.4 inches against 6.7 inches), the panel still retains Oled technology, a good point for a smartphone supposed to be sold below the € 500 mark. The front panel however loses the punch in favor of a notch in the form of a drop of water, as well as the refresh rate at 120 Hz. On the other hand, Oppo wanted to leave the fingerprint reader under the display .

On the side of the photo, this version adopts the more classic formula of four sensors. The main module is 48 megapixels, followed by an ultra wide-angle module of 8 megapixels. Two other 2 megapixel modules are present. One is for taking monochrome photos, the other is for taking “retro” photos. You will have to wait until you have it in your hands to know what it translates into. Note that the ultra wide-angle module will also be used for taking macro shots. For the front camera, Oppo relies on a 32-megapixel sensor.

Announced only in Portugal for now, we do not know if this model will reach other European countries. Offered at € 499, the Oppo Find X2 will have a hard time coping with the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite for example. Lightened version of the Mi 10, compatible 5G and announced 100 € cheaper last month.
