Oppo Enco Free: still quality copies of AirPods

In addition to the two new smartphones Oppo Reno 3 and Reno 3 Pro, Oppo presented its first Enco Free headphones. These are TWS: True Wireless Stereo, wireless headphones like AirPods. Oppo, which belongs to the BKK Electronics group, therefore follows Realme who presented his a few days ago.

The interface resembles that of AirPods

These TWS headphones are very similar to AirPods but they are also very different. These are open-fit earphones, unlike intras earphones, which also incorporate silicone ear tips to better keep them in the ears (when you do sports for example).

Oppo seems to have taken care of the design

On a single charge, these headphones last up to five hours, and in total with the case, the autonomy should last up to 25 hours. The case charges via USB Type-C and there is no wireless charging support. According to Oppo, these headphones provide high quality sound, with connection via Bluetooth 5.0, and artificial intelligence to provide noise reduction during a conversation. Note that this is not active noise reduction … moreover the open-fit format limits passive noise reduction.

Oppo also promises an audio latency of only 120 ms, which would be better than the AirPods Pro and the same score that Realme headphones (of which they surely share a good part of the technologies). IPX4 humidity protection is also noted.

They are slated to cost 699 yuan in China (around 90 euros excluding tax), and we have had no confirmation of availability in Europe yet.
