Oppo A16K, specifications and prices in Indonesia

recode.ID – Some time ago, to be exact, mid-May 2022 Oppo have officially launched their new smartphone in the lower middle class, namely the Oppo A16K for consumers in Indonesia.

This is the successor of the series Oppo A16 which was previously released last year with a number of increased specifications and features it carries.

This is as revealed by Aryo Meidianto A, as PR Manager of Oppo Indonesia in his official statement at the launch which said

“We launched the successor (Oppo A16 and A16e), Oppo A16K, which of course also offers various technologies and prices that have been adjusted to the target market,” he explained.

Oppo A16K Specifications

As mentioned at the beginning of the article, this Oppo A16K device comes with a new design view and even more stylish and slimmer than its two predecessors.

From the screen sector, this device is equipped with screen measuring 6.52 inches with HD + resolution, while the thickness of this device is only 7.85 mm and weighs only about 175 grams.

Interestingly, this part of the Oppo A16K screen is equipped with features that are useful for maintaining the health of the user’s eyes, named All-day Eye Care which includes a suite of Sunlight Display, Moonlight Display, and AI Smart Backlight capabilities.

Continue to the innards, the Oppo A16K relies on chipset Helio G35 from MediaTek. The chipset itself has been designed with a 12 nm architecture and has a CPU speed of up to 2.3 GHz and a PowerVR GE8320 GPU.

For the RAM capacity it carries, there is only one choice, namely 4GB RAM coupled with 64GB internal storage.

If the internal memory capacity is still insufficient, users can expand the storage space by using a microSD that supports up to 1 TB capacity.

In the photography sector, the Oppo A16K is only equipped with one main camera, namely a lens with a resolution of 13 MP.

Meanwhile, to accommodate the need for taking selfies and video calls, Oppo has provided a front camera with a 5 MP resolution.

For the purposes of taking photos and videos on this device, the manufacturer has equipped a number of photography support features including the HDR Backlight feature to support taking photos when the background light is strong or when the light on the photo object is quite dim.

In addition, there are three new night filters, namely AI beautification, to AI Pallete which is able to change photos in the style of popular reference images on social media in one click.

All performance on this device will be supported by a 4,230 mAh battery which is equipped with supporting features for power saving purposes, such as Super Nighttime Standby, Optimized Night Charging, and Super Power Saving Mode so that the battery recharging process is safer.

In addition, the charging sector on this cellphone also supports fast charging with a current strength of 10 Watts.

For the operating system used, the Oppo A16K will run Android OS 11 which is wrapped with the ColorOS 11 interface.

But one thing that is quite interesting about this phone is that, even though this is a beginner phone, the manufacturer has added a graphite heatsink to keep the device temperature stable, especially when playing games or streaming so that the phone doesn’t heat up quickly like in a gaming phone.

This phone is only available in two color options, namely black and white. As for the price, currently the Oppo A16K is sold at a price of around Rp. 2,199,000.
