Oppligen – Additional tax revenue fills the municipal coffers

The municipality of Oppligen generated around 450,000 francs last year. The annual accounts are therefore better than expected. The reason for this is additional tax revenue.

The annual accounts for 2021 close with an income surplus of around 405,000 francs in the general budget and with an income surplus of around 446,000 francs in the overall budget.

Mayor Peter Schmid cited the tax assumptions, which were better than forecast, as the reason for the positive result. Around CHF 300,000 more than budgeted flowed into the municipal coffers. The balance sheet surplus is now 1.38 million. Last year, the municipality spent around 50,000 francs on investments in the road network. The annual accounts were approved unanimously by the municipal assembly.

Reassessment of caretaker position at secondary level Wichtrach, increase in job percentages

The municipal assembly unanimously approved the municipal council’s proposal to increase the job budget for building maintenance for secondary school level 1 in Wichtrach from the current 186 to 238 percent of jobs. The municipal council had already approved the application from the secondary school commission at the end of April.

With the commissioning of the new “North” part of the secondary school building, the caretaker position was recalculated. As a result, the job percentages have to be increased by around 50 percent. This increases the annual wage costs by 57,500 francs from currently around 177,000 francs to around 234,000 francs.
