Also, vaccinating younger children will give them the freedom they have lost. To reduce unnecessary risks, many parents have suspended extracurricular activities. Once children are vaccinated, after-school sports and activities can safely resume. Families who have acted with caution, with measures such as banning sleepovers and birthday parties in closed spaces will be able to resume them knowing that the risk is now much lower. Activities where all children are vaccinated will likely be able to do without masks, giving children an extra layer of normalcy.
