During his career, Sprogis sang on various stages, recorded both in Latvian radio studios and in churches, he also participated in the rock opera “Lāčplēsis” by Zigmar Liepiņš, as well as starring in his pop song programs.
The opera singer studied at Liepāja Music, Art and Design Secondary School, but received his professional training at the Jāzeps Vītolas Music Academy of Latvia, graduating in 1974.
After years of working at Ventspils Music High School, Sprogis has linked his creative life with the Latvian National Opera and Ballet for five seasons since 1980, where he has performed 21 roles.
According to the archive of the LETA agency, Sprogis was born on October 14, 1944.
