Opening ceremony of the 4th Cultural Festival of Central Vietnam’s ethnic groups

(PLO)- This is a large-scale cultural event organized to honor the good traditional cultural values ​​of ethnic minorities in the Central region.

On the evening of September 8, at Nguyen Tat Thanh square (Quy Nhon city, Binh Dinh), the opening ceremony of the fourth cultural festival of ethnic groups in the Central region took place.

This event is organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the People’s Committee of Binh Dinh province.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Ho Quoc Dung, Secretary of the Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee, said that Binh Dinh always prioritizes investing resources to support ethnic minority areas.

Pay attention to promoting the implementation of the national target program for socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas of Binh Dinh province. This includes preserving and promoting the fine traditional cultural values ​​of ethnic minorities in association with tourism development.

Secretary of the Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee hopes that the festival is also an opportunity for the locality to promote and introduce cultural and tourism products of the homeland and people of Binh Dinh to friends and domestic and foreign tourists.

According to the Organizing Committee, the fourth cultural festival of ethnic groups in the Central region will be held in Binh Dinh in 2023 within the framework of the project to periodically organize festivals, exchanges, cultural festivals, sports and tourism in the delta region. Ethnic minorities regionally and nationwide for the period 2021 – 2030 approved by the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The festival is a large-scale cultural event organized to honor good traditional cultural values. Preserve and promote the cultural identity of ethnic minorities in the Central region in general and Binh Dinh province in particular.

In his opening speech, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung said that in the historical flow of the nation, the Central region is considered a place of convergence, transition and crystallization of many cultural values.

The Central ethnic community has contributed to creating a colorful cultural picture spanning more than 2,000 years, typically the Sa Huynh culture and the Champa civilization.
