Openda once again shows its class and shoots Vitesse past AZ in the first play-off match

The battle for a European ticket between Vitesse and AZ is still open, although the Arnhem team has a slight advantage after Thursday evening. Lois Openda was crowned the match winner just before time: 2-1. The decision will be made on Sunday.

Vitesse, among others, was missing Eli Dasa, who has already played his last game for the Arnhem team due to his planned wedding. Besides Dasa, Riechedly Bazoer, Danilho Doekhi (Union Berlin) and Openda are also leaving. They were honored shortly before kick-off.

AZ missed the still unfit Owen Wijndal and after fifteen minutes of play in GelreDome, Fredrik Midtsjø also reported to the infirmary. The Norwegian midfielder grabbed his hamstring and seems to be able to write Sunday’s return on his stomach.
