Here is what is open and closed on Canada Day in Quebec and Lévis.

First, for essential shopping, supermarkets are open as well as small shops such as grocery stores, convenience stores, fruit stores, butchers, service stations and some pharmacies.

However, shopping centers are closed, as are banks and cash registers.

Most SAQ branches are open, but SQDC branches are closed.

In Quebec

It is possible to continue your work on your property or elsewhere since all the eco-centers are open on July 1.

The collection of garbage and recyclable materials does not take time off either.

Street parking in front of the toll kiosks is free, but not those in parking lots with a toll kiosk.

Buses take the Sunday timetable.

It is possible to take advantage of the outdoor swimming pools, however, the libraries are closed.

In Lévis

The Lévis ecocentre is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and the Saint-Lambert-de-Lauzon ecocentre from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Garbage and recyclable materials are collected as usual, but there is no service for monster-type waste.

Buses take the Sunday timetable.

As the city’s three libraries will only reopen on July 3, they are not accessible on July 1.

The outdoor swimming pools are open for cooling.
