Ooredoo’s boss descends Gunung Tangani Indosat

Indosat Ooredoo has held an Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPST). Interestingly, there is Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Thani who is the Boss of Ooredoo down the mountain under Indosat.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Thani himself was appointed as President Commissioner of Indosat Ooredoo replacing Waleed Mohamed Ebrahim Alsayed.

In his statement, being appointed as president commissioner, Sheikh Mohammed was responsible for realizing Indosat Ooredoo’s vision of becoming the leading digital telecommunications company in Indonesia.

Indonesia is a regional economic powerhouse with wide-open digital opportunities and Indosat Ooredoo will continue to play a major role in connecting and digitizing the nation,” he said, Monday (7/20/2020).

In his track record, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Thani is the Deputy CEO Ooredoo Group and CEO of Ooredoo Qatar since March 2020. He has more than 16 years of experience in communication, digital transformation, finance and accounting, and has held various management positions at Ooredoo since joining the company in 2009.

Most recently, Sheikh Mohammed also served as CEO of Kuwait’s Ooredoo and is said to have succeeded in leading the company to reach important milestones and increase its market share in the market.

Sheikh Mohammed is currently Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Algeria and Ooredoo Myanmar. Speaking of his education, he holds a Masters in Finance and Accounting from the University of Cardiff, England and a Bachelor of Accounting degree from Qatar University.

In the AGM conducted by following the health protocol, Indosat in its annual report 2019 raised the theme “Think Bigger Act Faster”, in accordance with the current situation where with digitalization, the transformation carried out by the company is focused on identifying and accelerating the development of new business growth engines, along with emphasis on downsizing and enhancing the customer experience for sustainable growth

President Director Indosat OoredooAhmad Al-Neama, said Indosat Ooredoo is committed to supporting the Government and the people of Indonesia because when we all face the COVID-19 pandemic.

“There are many initiatives and support systems that we present to the community, customers, employees and the government by improving our network and helping those in need,” he concluded.
