Don’t worry, Biden’s presidential visit to the UK went smoothly. But that didn’t change the fact that the president broke a few rules without his knowledge. Too bad for Joe, who probably came with a on the day itself perfect record from if it had been a rainy day. But the sun was shining in full force, forcing Biden to keep his dark sunglasses off for much of his visit. Officially, that is not allowed at all in the presence of the queen. It is one of the rules that still exists, but is no longer enforced in practice.

It was mainly a day later that he overstepped his mark. Biden revealed that he has spoken to Elizabeth about Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin, the leaders of China and Russia respectively. “She wanted to know what those men were like, since I’m going to meet them soon,” the president said. However, it is complete not done to make the content of conversations with the Queen public. Biden, for example, committed a faux pas at the last minute.

However, compared to his predecessor, Trump, he fared very well. Donald walked in front of the Queen and touched her back, two much bigger violations of rules that are still strictly enforced.
