Only the bare essentials can be realized – Vogtsburg

Oberrotweiler local council agrees on a short list of budget requirements / proposal: RV parking space on Mondhalde.

. In addition to blood donation ceremonies, the deliberations on the 2022 budget were the focus of the public meeting of the Oberrotweiler local council. In addition to Mayor Benjamin Bohn and the chairman of the DRK local group Oberrotweil-Oberbergen, Udo Beck, mayor Kathrin Leininger also welcomed numerous citizens.

At the beginning of the meeting, seven blood donors who had donated blood 575 times received an honor. Renate Gut, Andrea Meyer, Wolfgang Gut, Clemens Mürb and Harald Vögtle were honored for donating blood 75 times. Klaus Bitzenhofer and Hermann Brunow have donated blood 100 times.

Mayor Benjamin Bohn pointed out the importance of blood donations and thanked the donors on behalf of the city of Vogtsburg for their willingness to make their blood available to the general public. Udo Beck also thanked the donors and, together with the mayor and the mayor, presented them with the blood donation badge in gold with a golden oak wreath and an engraved number of donations as well as a present. Despite the currently difficult situation, the DRK can keep its blood donation appointments under strict compliance with the relevant hygiene rules, emphasized Beck.

New fire station
Mayor Leininger announced the advice points of the local council from non-public meetings. In order to continue to guarantee the safety on the sports field, some sick trees had to be felled, informed the mayor. Before the local councilors began formulating budget requirements, Mayor Bohn reminded them of the considerable costs involved in building the new fire station. Childcare and upcoming building renovations would also tie up immense resources. “Not what is desirable, but only what is feasible” could be implemented by the community, said the town hall chief.

Leisure destination Mondhalde
Kathrin Leininger reported on the tour through the village, which she took in advance together with the councilors in order to identify the most necessary investments. The urn graves in the cemetery are to be expanded by two rows. On the lookout point on the Mondhalde, the committee members found that the large volcanic stone there shows considerable weathering damage, especially the lettering was considerably weathered and urgently needed to be replaced. Since the narrow vantage point on the summit of the Mondhalde is increasingly frequented by mobile homes, the council members suggested setting up a parking space on the community property below the vantage point. However, this still has to be discussed with the colleagues from Bischoffingen. In addition, the benches and tables on the viewing area urgently need to be replaced, reported Leininger.

The council unanimously decided to go into budget discussions with these demands.
