OnePlus shows design of OnePlus Nord smartphone – Tablets and phones – News

Carl Pei, the CEO of OnePlus, showed the design of the OnePlus Nord in a video with YouTuber MKBHD. He also seems to wear the new wireless earphones from OnePlus. Both products will be fully revealed next week.

In a video interview, Pei shows the front and back of the OnePlus Nord. The device has a glossy back with curved edges. The cameras are located on the side of the device. Two selfie cameras can be seen on the front; OnePlus previously confirmed that one of these has an ultra-wide angle lens with an angle of view of 105 degrees.

Pei also shows mock-ups of previous designs, which ultimately did not make it. The cameras are placed in a kind of L-shape at the back. During the interview, Pei wears wireless earphones. Those are probably the bluetooth ears that OnePlus will present on July 21 together with the smartphone.

YouTuber MKBHD talks in the video with Pei about the cost of phone parts. The OnePlus CEO does not provide many concrete answers. He says that adding NFC to a smartphone costs about $ 4, but he only says that the cost of a screen is that an OLED screen is twice as expensive as an LCD and that a screen with curved edges is even more expensive.

New details about the specifications of the OnePlus Nord have not been released. According to rumors, the device will get a Snapdragon 765G-soc with 5g modem, a 6.55 “OLED screen with a refresh rate of 90Hz, 6GB ram and 128GB flash storage. The battery would have a capacity of 4300mAh. OnePlus has indicated that the device” will cost less than five hundred dollars.
